What type of conditions are treated?

​All conditions! Chronic or acute pain including low back, hip, knee, ankle/foot, shoulders, post-stroke, post-fall/fall risk, MS, POTS, EDS, and pediatric conditions including CP, Down Syndrome/low tone, developmental delay, genetic conditions, and much more!

Do I need a medical doctor's script to participate? 

​You do not need a script for the first 60 days of treatment. Under the Code of Virginia § 54.1-3482, a certified doctor of physical therapy may evaluate and treat a patient for no more than 60 consecutive days after an initial evaluation without a referral from a medical doctor. After 60 days, a script must be present in order to participate.

I come to you:

If you have a pool at your house or in your community, I can come to you! Must be in Virginia.

What is your cancellation policy?

​Please understand that appointment times are limited. If you must cancel your appointment, we respectfully request 24 hours notice. Missed appointments, or appointments canceled without 24 hours notice, will incur a fee of $50.

​

I don’t know how to swim, can I do aquatic PT?

​Yes! Sessions are performed in the shallow end usually in hip or chest deep water. Let me know if you are nervous about the pool and I will help you feel more comfortable.

Will my hair get wet?

​It depends. Please let me know if you do not want to get your hair wet and I can accommodate.

​

What should I wear?​

Wear whatever you are comfortable in! Bathing suit is preferred but t-shirts/shorts are okay.​

 

What should I bring?​

Bring your bathing suit, towel, water bottle, and a change of clothes. If you prefer to shower at the pool, bring your shampoo/conditioner. Not provided at the pool. New patient forms must be completed prior to starting. New patient forms will be provided via email when scheduling.
